Hello November

Good morning!

Today I'm headed out to the Vegas strip. To be honest, I kinda miss it. As a local, I'm supposed to snub the strip, but I actually DO like hanging out there from time to time. I appreciate neighborhood hangouts, I'm from a small town in the midwest, and a part of me will always like the provincial familiar, but on days like today, I need to go, get out. See what's news in the real world, as they say.

After what happened in New York, yesterday, I'm feeling love for Mandalay Bay. I haven't visited Mandalay Bay, since the massacre, but I'll go today. If I could afford Manhattan, I'd live there in a heartbeat. I love New York. The winters would kill me. My lungs would quit on me by the end of January, but I'd die happy.

Back to Mandalay Bay...

If you've never been, they have a 4 story wine rack at Aureole. 4 stories. It's impressive.

Aureole, isn't my scene to hang out on a regular basis. I'm more of a Rio Wine Cellar, kinda gal, but if I'm in the mood for a certain vineyard, I know for a fact Aureole, has it.

What makes the strip unbearable at times (as you know!) is the amount of people who don't pay attention. They never walk with their eyes forward. Never! Every now and then it helps to look at what's in front of you. I've seen countless people walk into traffic. Oncoming cars almost running them over. You would think that might get people to pay attention, but no. They just keep walking expecting everyone else to get out of their way. And that's 80% of the people walking down the strip. Now that it's November, the herd thins out. So there's that.

Once you get inside the casinos/hotels, it's clearly better. But its the getting there that makes it rough.

Ok then...

Have good day all.
